True Family

This blog is directly to thanking everyone for helping me out. I feel like all my blogs are like that, but I don't know how much I can show how grateful I am for everyone and everything. My grandparents have made my bedroom super cozy, and they have been with me through almost every moment after I was diagnosed. They have been a huge help. Whatever I need I know I can rely on them or any of my friends and family. My Aunt and Uncle have given me a beautiful round coffee table to put everything on when I would like to relax and my "Rockin" Uncle will bring me anything I want whenever I want it. I don't know of too many families who would go through all of this trouble to do everything for me. My sister has traveled from her new husband and home in North Dakota and had so many flights and delays just to come comfort me through all of this. Also, all of my family took time to come visit me while I was in the hospital and each one of them showered me with gifts... But the best gift was being able to see all of them and having the family I have. My friends have been very influential through all of this too. I haven't been able to talk to too many of them right now, but I want to thank them all for everything. Whether it's thinking of creative awareness ideas or just sending me texts and messages through the day, I know I can rely on each one of them. Now if I kept thanking each person or family for everything the list would be going on till the cows come home... But my last thanks go out to my parents. They have been by my side through all of this every second of the day. Their whole life has revolved around me for a long time, through all of my sports and honors classes and everything... It is always to make me happy, and everything has made me so happy. Now that I can't do much anymore, their lives revolve around me even more and I love them immensely and just want them to know how glad I am that God blessed me with two amazing parents(=
(Oh and yes if anyone was wondering my little sister and I did donate our hair to Locks for Love and that was my second time donating and the baby's first time)

  2. Noel,

You came into my class with nothing but smiles on your face and a wonderful personality. Your laughter and smile is infectious. I just loved having you in my class. I hope to have you in my class next year as well. I heard about your situation last weekend when I was away on vacation. This is my first day back and I wanted to reach out to you and let you know I am thinking of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have no doubt in my mind that your competitive nature will battle this challenge that you face and that you will succeed in beating this. You are a tremendous bright young lady. If there is anything I can do to help. please let me know. All the best to you and your family. It sounds like you have a very loving and caring family by your side.

  3. Hi Noel~

I'm so happy that you are home. The picture of you and your sisters is gorgeous. You all are such beautiful girls on the inside and it shines through with your wonderful smiles. I wanted to thank you and Aryel for being such amazing role models for my girls. Through you they can see the true meaning of sisters and family. It is my wish that they end up as loving and caring as you have shown. When I mentioned to the girls about Locks of Love they immediately asked me to call my girlfriend who does hair and make an appointment so they can donate their hair. This will be Kelsy's second time and Camryn's first. Camryn at first thought that her hair would be made up and you would get it. She was all excited. But I told her that it would more than likely go to someone else because the process takes time. She was kinda bummed but still excited to donate. Thank you again for being such a wonderful inpiration not only to me but to Kelsy and Camryn and the rest of my family. You are truley your mother's daughter...strong, determined, thoughtful, postive and well I could go on and on. All my love to you and your family!

    Stephanie, Kelsy, Camryn and Family!

  9. Thank you, Noel, for being wonderful you! Words just barely skim the surface to describe the joy you have brought to all of us. We are all learning a powerful message from your tenacious spirit; your faith and kindness have given us all a valuable life lesson. Your family is enormously proud of you... we always have been, but you have surpassed everything we have always felt! When we first saw you and your parents at Cottage Hospital last Tuesday they were a mess - you were tough and there were no tears! You are loved so dearly and their pain was palpable and beyond anything any of us could help ease... but you have been a rock through all the tribulations and your parents know how grateful you are! Thank you again for being the amazing Noel... you are so dearly appreciated and loved!! My love to you... Grandma Diana

  10. Noel,
I have enjoyed all of your entries, but being a mom this particular one really resonated with me. I know only too well that parents without the support of their extended families seldom can do that job on their own. Our children need the essentials from us, but they also need what grandparents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends provide in abundance. Unconditional love, kindness, patience, support, humor, comfort, lessons in life and lots of COOKIES!

I am so grateful for your parents and the extended circle of people hat surround your life. With your faith in God, personal determination, great team of doctors, and your extended support system there isn’t anything you won’t be able to reach.

  11. You are totally worth all of my love! There is nothing I would'nt do for you! Uncle Jeff

  12. Noel, I love you and I miss your smiling face. I hope all is well. I realy enjoy reading your blogs. Not only do I think all this support (which you totally deserve) really helps you stay strong, but also your feedback to us all really helps keep us strong as well. I'm pretty sure just about everyone-if not everyone-would agree with me. Keep it up girl. This whole family loves you just as much as you have proven to love us++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++PLUS MORE!

  13. Noey,
What an inspiration you are! I can hardly wait till you are out there flying around the bases again. Watching softball just isn't the same without you & your speed. I miss you, but know you are doing what you need to do to be well. Keep blogging, it's so good to hear what is going on. Love to you & your wonderful family :)
    Praying you well.. Jani

  14. P.S.
    Love the haircut!!!
