Day at the beach by Noel.

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Hello everyone, yet another day of more resting with more visitors. By now my whole family has come to visit me and I have loved every moment of it. Last night I slept wonderful after all the medicine, but I guess it was quite the joke when it started making me a little "loopy". I rambled on about nonsense and at one point I tried to call my dog over to pet it, mind you my dog is in Paso Robles. While my faith grows even more, my appetite is gradually expanding but not like any ordinary appetite. I guess I have a "pregnant woman" sort of appetite. All today and yesterday I have craved Hot Wings and chocolate soft served ice cream and nothing else. Although I haven't been able to see my cousin Cooper, he has sent me some pretty awesome gifts. He was generous enough to give me one of his Chaotic cards and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle too! More great news for the day: my platelet count is increasing to 25 which is better than the 7 that I had when I was admitted into the hospital. As the days go by more people support me and I love meeting everyone new and seeing messages from all my friends. I wish I could talk to each one of you personally but for now it will have to be through these blogs. But, many of you who follow the Lord I encourage you to stay on his path and those of you who do not, I honestly encourage you to take time to study and learn his ways. I'm not trying to persuade you to become all of the sudden Christ followers, but his knowledge and teachings make sense. As I read my letters, there were many verses from the bible that really caught my eye. For example, Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful spirit can act as good medicine against sickness." In other words a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. There are no words to explain how much relevance this is to what I'm doing to get over my sickness. I could never do any of this without high spirits and the support of all of you. Again I want to thank each one of you for all you have done, it means so much to me.

I will have to kick your butt at pop-flies in the outfield!! Remember 1st Peter 5:7 it's one of my favorite verses because it reminds me to cast my fears onto God because he loves and cares for you!!! Also remember if God brought you to it he will bring you through it. P.S. 10. Hi Honey. This is great news today! I am so happy about this! This is the third time I've tried to post a comment to you. I'm just not very techy. Anyhow, I'm gonna try to comment on your last three blogs all right now. On your birthday, it was so nice to see you smiling and having a good time! I was thinking about how amazing you are! I really enjoyed being there with you! Then, the next day, your blog was a little hard for me I must admit! I wished I could have your discomfort and pain instead. I thought how brave you are and how proud of you I am! Now today this great news! I know God answers prayers! Haleluiah! I am so happy for you and our whole family! Did I mention how amazing you are? You're my hero! Well I guess this is where I say how amazing you are! Did I say that already? Also, how I love you and miss you! Also how I think you completely just rock! Like Rockin Robbin,Rock of Ages,We Will Rock You,Rock Around the Clock,Rock Rock til You Drop,Rock the Boat,Rock n Roll Girl! Did I mention that I love you Noel? You're doing great! I think you have everything it's gonna take and then some! Love you! Yeah... I said it again!

  12. Good Morning, Precious Lamb..... I think Uncle Jeff has mistakenly taken some of your 'loopy' medication and now he's a little 'loopy'.

I am really missing my river buddy!! Grandpa is just not near as much fun in the river... he just swims around and looks at the fish. You, on the other hand, like to wrestle and swim in the rapids.... next year we'll really enjoy the river!!!

We all love your spunky spirit.... you have made such a nearly unbearable situation into the bearable with your peace and kindness. What an amazing young woman you are... but we already knew that!!

Love to you and Happy Monday!!! Grandma & Grandpa Phillips

  16. Hey Sweetheart,

This is the ex-kingfrog checking in with you. The picture your mom sent us of you and I hugging at your fifth grade graduation brought a huge smile to my heart and filled my tear ducts with water. It seems hard to believe that was four/five years ago. You know, you were always one of my favorite 'frogs.' I could always count on a hug, a smile and a bubbly positive attitude. Those traits will serve you well on this journey. By the way, loopy is good word to describe you, at times, on or off medication. :-) Now I have a confession,I just fed Maggie some of my breakfast, shredded wheat, ok, maple frosted shredded wheat. Hope you don't mind. She just said to tell you "arf arf arf, arf arf arf" which she told me means "I love you and miss you." I have really enjoyed my time with her; playing tug-of war with one of her toys, wrestling with her as she bit me with her tiny sharp teeth and licking my wet toes after I showered! They were clean. :-) Well sweetheart, I look forward to your home run that will win the game. You know the stadium is packed with your supporters. And that is because "you reap what you sow." Thank you for blessing us with YOU. Fondly, Mr. Corso (I thought signing it Paul might seem odd for you)

  17. Hey Noel~
It's Darcie (your Girl Scout troop leader from years ago). I've been reading your posts and I wanted to leave you a little note saying how inspiring your message is. You have clearly grown into an amazing young lady. I wish that when I was your age I'd have had half the wisdom you are exhibiting now.

You (and your family) have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard about this "curveball" and you will remain there until you are restored to 100%! I'm looking so forward to that day!

    Hugs to you,
    Darcie

ha sorry i wanted to be original in my opening;). Lol, i'm so glad to know you are home now yay! Now you can chill by the pool side with Aryel and soak up the sun. It really kills me that i cant be with you right now, and i know it does moni as well, but we both know you know we love and you would do anything to be there for you. And "Jane" got us lost and we kept driving in circles and we were like shut up jane! and how we were going to make our own navigation system speaker with a valley girl voice or something haha.."oh my gosh like turn left in 0.2 miles! Barf out! Did you see that car?! Gag me with a spoon did you see that road kill?! Oh yeah, totally turn here!" ahhaha i would buy totally buy that :). lol and how "SHE" was stalking us and we kept running. Oh, yeah, and your dad hockin' a loogie on my leg!!!! ewwy hahaha...can't wait to be able to do this again...minus the loogie lol ;)
