weekend fever

Wow do I have a supportive community behind me or what? In addition to the parking lot sale on Saturday, there was a barbeque held by the Marquez family, whom I don't know nor have ever met, and the proceeds were generously given to my family. They have also been advising words of wisdom from their personal experience and showering me with wonderful gifts. Thank you very much and happy belated birthday Victoria! This was very generous of the family and done out of the kindness of their heart. Again, thank you very much and God bless you because he has certainly blessed me.

Well I certainly know how to give my parents a scare now, they had to take me to the ER after I spiked a reoccurring fever at home starting Friday. I went to the ER Saturday, and blood labs were done. Everything was clean, no infections, and my counts were actually going up which is good because they are very low. Just as a precaution I was given antibiotics through an IV and so on Sunday I had to return to get the rest of the antibiotics. It was not fun in the ER at all, there was a lot of waiting that had to go on, , it's not the cleanest friendliest reliable place, I had a high fever, I didn't feel well and I had the chills, and I was just hungry and wanted to go home. All of that together doesn't make the nicest person, but I tried to be as kind as possible while trying to stay sane. I did get through it and I am feeling much better now. Blood labs were just taken so now I have to wait for the results to see when I start chemo again.

  4. I love your new pictures! Is that Morro Bay or Cayucus? Happy to hear that you are feeling better. ER's are always an adventure--just don't touch anything =(

I'm sure you were very positive and upbeat. You probably also thanked everyone for all they did for you. You don't seem to let your own discomfort effect your cheerfulness.

    Hey Noel,

Just wanted to let you know that we, as a school, are all praying for you and following your blog. The students met in Family Groups on Friday afternoon and put together some thoughts they would like to share with you. Also, two sixth grade boys took it upon themselves to help get donations. They went out on their bikes to get donations because they wanted to do something to help out. Here are some comments from the students: Sorry that you are sick, but we can see that you have a strong faith and positive attitude. We hope that you feel better. You are a great example for others to follow. You are brave and can stand up to anything. Thank you for having a positive attitude. You are a very inspiring role model that everyone should look up to. We hope you get well soon so you can go to school and play sports. Keep on fighting. It's amazing that you can have such a positive attitude through all this. We're all praying for you. Be strong in the Lord. We hope you have a great day and that you feel better soon. You can make it through this. God loves you. Your are so strong. Your family and support system are awesome. You have a wonderful family who loves you and cares for you lots. We know that you are very brave and smart. We really want you to get well soon and to keep on trusting in the Lord. We appreciate your kindness and love. We are pleased to hear you are doing well this week. We promise to pray for you and keep you in our hearts. God bless you and get well soon. Put all your trust in the Lord and you can do anything. Our prayers are that God puts his hand of healing on you so you can get better and get back to the things you so much enjoy doing. We are excited for you starting home school. Sometimes we complain about getting up to go to school, but realize that it's a blessing to be able to attend school and learn new things. We're thankful that the parking lot sale went so well and earned a lot of money. The way you handle what you're going through is very inspiring to us. It helps us stop to appreciate the little things in life. You have helped us see how trusting in God is so important. Thank you for being so strong. We notice in your blogs that you are very calm, especially for what you are going through. We admire you for your trust in the Lord. We notice that you don't get scared because you trust in God. We all pray you get well soon. We hope you recover very well. We hope you get better and back on your feet soon so you can play softball. Keep up the positive attitude. You'll get through this. God's always there. Never give up. You can do it. You're amazing. Our poem for you: "Roses are red, violets are blue, get well soon is our wish for you." We're sending you smiles and hugs. And two extra special messages: "I (heart) you. Love Avery" and "I love you. (heart) Emma." We love you and continue to pray for you and your family. Blessing, Trinity Lutheran School student body and staff.

  12. Hi Noel. I am your next door neighbor. We haven't met yet although I have talked with your folks and met Emma. I can tell from your "Sound Off" radio interview and the comments you have posted on the website, you are a FIGHTER - a true CHAMPION! But you are also very kind, sensitive, and caring. This is undoubtedly one of the most difficult "games" you will ever compete in, but we know the other team doesn't have a chance. After this game is over, I look forward to the victory celebration when we can meet in person and get to know each other.

  14. Hi Noel,

Did Emma tell you she is going to be a pro golfer? Cooper is also golfing with me and I hope to be able to play with each of them once a week. Emma consistently hits the ball better than Coop but when he does hit it the ball goes along way. I have had a cold for the past several weeks and did not want to risk infecting you. I am all over it now and both Grandma and I would like to come and see you soon; whenever you are up to it. When do you think you can come out and drive the golf cart for me?

    Love You so Much,
    GrandMaPa
